Privacy notice

This page describes how Assurr handles personal information you provide through the waitlist or contact forms. Final wording will be reviewed by counsel before launch.

Until then, we collect only what is needed to evaluate interest in Assurr. Typically your name, role, email, postcode area, and a short description of your project. We do not sell or share this information with third parties beyond the hosting, email, record-keeping and analytics services we use to run the site.

When you register, we also record a few details about your visit, so we can see which pages and campaigns lead people to Assurr: the page you came from, the first page you visited, the website that linked to us, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. Your browser keeps these details, with a random number for the visit, only for the length of your visit, and sends them to us only if you register.

We also record an approximate location, such as a town and region, which our hosting provider works out from your internet (IP) address. It is often imprecise. We do not store your IP address.

We count visits to the site with Umami, an analytics service. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the pages you view, the website that linked to us, any campaign tags in the link, your browser, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. It does not store your IP address. It tells visits apart with a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every month, so it cannot follow you from one month to the next, and the code is not linked to your name or email. When you register, it counts which form you used, without any of your details. Anything you type into the Learn search box is removed before it is sent.
